Charles W. McClain

NEW MARSHFIELD - Charles W. McClain, 58, of New Marshfield, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, January 27, 2021 at his home.

Born August 7, 1962 in Athens, he was the son of Milford (Hazel) McClain and the late Darlene Dicken Bumgardner.

He was a 1980 graduate of Alexander High School and retired from Ohio University with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Waterloo Township Volunteer Fire Department since 1982 and a member of Constitution Lodge 426 F & AM of New Marshfield and the New Marshfield Church of Christ. He was presently employed with Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Chris; two children, Charles (Billie) McClain, Heather (Charlie) Lantz; six grandchildren, Adison, Taylor, Marisa, Trinity, Charles, Joe; and a brother, Craig (Shelley) McClain.

Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by a stepfather, Kenny “Bummy” Bumgardner.

Friends may call Friday from 4PM to 7 PM, January 29, 2021 at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home. Masonic services will begin at 7:00 PM. Face coverings and social distancing must be observed.
