COOLVILLE—Charles E. Lucas, 79, of Coolville, OH, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023, at his residence.
He was born May 17, 1944, in Augusta, GA, son of the late James and Geneva Harrelson Lucas. Charles was a member of the Torch Baptist Church and the IBEW Local 776 in Charleston, S.C.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Dowdle Lucas; 3 sons, Jay and Rene Cato, Jeff and Casey Cato and Scott and Sharon Cato; daughter, Cindy and Eric Frost; brother, Carroll and Frances Lucas; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Pastor Bryan Ziegler and Pastor Jim Dickey officiating. Burial will follow in the Frost Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday, from 5-7 P.M.
