Charles Hauber
Charles Dewey Hauber, 82, of Reedsville, Ohio passed away Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 11, 1928 in Belpre, Ohio son of the late Paul Hauber Sr. and Martha Kibble Hauber. He was a Army Veteran of the Korean War, a lifetime member of the DAV, where he was a DAV Commander and retired from the Corp of Engineers. He was also a Scout Master for 11 years, a Christian and member of the Gospel Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and his family.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Effie Wells Hauber; 3 sons, Rick Hauber of Long Bottom, OH, Steve and Barb Hauber of Parkersburg, WV and Michael Hauber of Lubeck, WV; a daughter, Paula and Daniel Chaffee of St. Augustine, FL; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Leoma and Ray Hall of Coolville, OH; several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Opal, Betty, Edith and Louise; 2 brothers, Warren Baker and Paul Hauber Jr.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Life Ambulance Service, good friend Larry Dillon and brother-in-law Ray Hall.
Services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH, with Pastor Jay Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, from 6-8 P.M.
