Carolyn Sue Lightner
GUYSVILLE--Carolyn Sue Lightner, 73, of Guysville, OH went to her heavenly home on Monday, Nov. 20th, 2017 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, WV after a courageous 2 1/2 year battle with cancer.
Sue was born in Akron, OH on March 12, 1944 to the late Hall and Francis (Scott) Clem. She was a dietician at St. Joe Hospital in Parkersburg and Arcadia Nursing Center in Coolville and also worked as a self-employed house cleaner.
Sue was dearly loved by all her family and a host of friends. Sue returned that love with all the strength and energy that she had. She will be greatly missed by one and all.
Sue is survived by her loving husband, Larry D. Lightner; a son, Michael (Teresa) Boyer of Guysville, OH; two daughters, Teresa Crisp of Bean Station, Tenn. and Brenda (Clark) Barrows of Marietta, OH; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Lora B. Lightner and a brother-in-law, Denver C. Lightner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Denver D. Lightner and a brother-in-law, Stephen D. Lightner.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH with Monte McCune officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery. There will be a meal at the Lottridge Community Center following the graveside service.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday, from 11 A.M. until time of service.
