Bruce Michaels
LITTLE HOCKING—Bruce Michaels, 71, of Little Hocking, OH, died unexpectedly at his residence on April 25th, 2021.
Bruce was employed as a therapist at Parkersburg Clean and Clear Advantage Recovery. Prior to this, Bruce worked at St. Joseph’s Recovery Center and Parkersburg Comprehensive Treatment Center.
Before moving to the area, Bruce resided in Fairmont, WV and was employed several years at Fairmont General Hospital. Bruce dedicated himself to helping others living a life of recovery. Bruce was involved in his former church in Fairmont, WV, Everlasting Covenant and his church family held a special place in his heart.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cheryl Michaels; two sons, Shaun Imoden (Tonya) and Brandon Michaels. Bruce is the proud Pappy of seven grandkids, Chloe, Brady, Ethan, Alana, Logan, Addison and Lilly; several nieces, nephews, cousins, longtime special friends, Pastor Roy and Candy Weese, mother-in-law, Dolly Woods, two brothers-in-law, Tom Woods (Lisa) and Ted Woods (Janie); two sisters-in-law, Mary Davis (Fred) and Brenda Woods. Bruce adored his two four-legged girls, Bailey and Marley.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Dorothy Bond of Point Pleasant, WV; two sisters, Betty and Carolyn; a brother, Jack and his father-in-law, Keith Woods.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Pastor Roy Weese officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Dinner will be held at the Coolville United Methodist Church following the service.
