Brayden Lee Lipp, a brave soul who graced this world for a short but impactful time, passed away at his home at the age of 3 days. He was born on January 29, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio.
Brayden was a fighter from the moment he entered this world, battling against the challenges imposed by Dandy Walker Syndrome, Double P9 Chromosome Disorder, and a DOVR Heart Defect. With doctor expectations to live only hours after birth, Brayden fought for more time, giving his family countless precious moments to last a lifetime. Though his time with us was brief, his mere presence brought immeasurable joy and profound love to his family.
Throughout his four precious days of life, Brayden was surrounded by the unconditional love and care of his devoted family. Despite the sadness that surrounded his condition, his family found solace in the cherished moments they spent together. These moments were filled with tender embraces, gentle caresses, and the profound connection that can only be forged between a parent and their child. In his short time here, Brayden’s indomitable spirit led him to make a lasting impact. He was able to provide umbilical blood to advance research for others facing similar rare disorders, offering hope for a brighter future.
Brayden’s journey culminated in a baptism ceremony, where he was embraced by the love and grace of his family and received into the loving arms of God. It is a testament to the strength of his spirit, even at such a young age, that even in the face of adversity, there is still way to find peace and serenity. His memory will forever be treasured by his family and friends, who found joy in his presence and were forever changed by his strength and resilience.
Brayden is survived by his loving parents, Anthony Joseph and Hannah Louise Carpenter Lipp; maternal grandparents, Betty & Charles Drake; paternal grandparents, April (Larry) Gould and Jason (Kim) Lipp; paternal great-grandparents, Gary & Patricia Jones, and Karen Lipp; paternal step-great-grandmother, Jean Gould; paternal great-great-grandmother, Margaret Lipp; and countless aunts, uncles, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Betty Jane Armentrout; and paternal step-grandfather, Ron Gould.
