On Saturday, September 21, 2024, Bradley Daniel Metts of Athens, beloved son, brother, grandson and friend, gained his wings with his dad by his side at his home. Bradley was born September 16, 2004, at O'Bleness Hospital in Athens, Ohio, to Danny Metts and Nikki Rosser Metts.
Bradley was an inspiration to many. He was a model of perseverance and courage as he struggled with disabilities during the latter years of his life. Despite many physical challenges and constant health issues, his compassion for other people was always evident. His honesty and strength were unmatched. Brad was a source of hope and inspiration to his family, his friends and many strangers all over the world, not only for being a fighter with immeasurable grit, but for his big heart, kindness and optimistic attitude. He never complained or backed down, taking all challenges head-on. Brad was a hero.
Bradley was a fun loving guy, and everyone knew what it meant when he rolled his eyes. He loved to watch sports, go hunting and take trips. Brad never met a stranger and was friends with everyone. He was a loving and caring older brother to his sister, Brooklyn, with whom he shared a special relationship. Bradley loved watching his sister play video games and was excited to travel to many venues to watch her play sports. Also known as "B-RAD," Bradley Daniel was known for being both an avid soccer player and fan, especially of the Columbus Crew. He cherished time with his family, especially hanging out with Dad and all the boys, often watching his favorite teams, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Bradley was a graduate of Alexander High School, and the family would like to thank the students, his friends and the Spartan community for allowing Brad to live the best life he could. He will be dearly missed by so many that he touched.
