ATHENS – Betty L. Wiseman, 95, of Athens, formerly of Chillicothe, died Monday afternoon, August 7, 2017 at The Lindley Inn. Born November 19, 1921 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Clarence B. and Gertrude Carr Cash. She was a graduate of Athens High School and received her Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University. She was employed at Wright Patterson Airforce Base during WWII and was a retired secretary from the Chillicothe Schools. She is a member of The Plains United Methodist Church and a former member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Chillicothe and a member of the Chillicothe Lioness Club. She is survived by three sons, Jeffrey (Jeanne) Wiseman of Downingtown, PA, Frank (Regina) Wiseman of Lancaster, OH, Robert (Kathleen) Wiseman of Athens, OH; seven grandchildren, Wendy Roe, Chad Wiseman, Jaqueline Dunigan, David Wiseman, Justin Wiseman, Beth Wiseman, Alec Wiseman; and ten great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1996, Henry Stewart Wiseman; a brother, Clarence I. Cash; and a sister, Camille Stanson. Services will be Friday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Fuchs officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
