COOLVILLE--Betty Ann Smith, 79, of Coolville, OH passed away Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at her residence.
She was born Jan. 18, 1938 in Frost, OH daughter of the late Roy and Margaret Simmons Welch. Betty was a former member of the Ireland Church, a member of the Federal Hocking Band Boosters, a 1956 graduate of Belpre High School and a Certified Nurses Assistant working at Arcadia and Worthington Center in Parkersburg.
She is survived by a son, Rodney and Brenda Smith; a daughter, Karen and Steve Follrod; three grandsons, Troy Smith, Brandon and Jennifer Follrod and Brian and Chloe Follrod; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn and Richard Hixson; two great-grandchildren, Izzy and Roman; a brother, Donnie Welch; three sisters, Barbara Welch, Janie Arnold and Joyce Cowdery and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Clyde Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville. Burial will follow in the Ireland Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
