Bessie Joy “Dee” Johnson

Bessie Joy “Dee” Johnson, 64 of New Marshfield, died August 28, 2021 in Dayton at the home of her granddaughter. Born December 7, 1956, she was the daughter of the late James Franklin and Wanda Irene Rutter Kennedy.

Dee was an angel on Earth with a big heart, a beautiful soul, and free spirit. She was strong, loving, woman who was always there for her family. She loved butterflies and dealt with everything in life with grace.

She is survived by her sons, Jason Johnson, Tommy Johnson; grandchildren, Brooklyn Johnson, Michaila Johnson, Paige Johnson, Dominic Johnson; great-grandchildren, Brylee Sams, William Allen, V, Brentlee Birden, Alayna Henn; sisters, Wanda Lowery, Kathy Riley, Karen Kennedy, Georgeann Kennedy; brother, Tim Kennedy.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Curtis Kennedy.
