Bertha Gibson

     Athens - Bertha Gibson, 93, of Athens, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Kime’s Rehabilitation Center in Athens.
     Born May 2, 1930, in Pomeroy, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Murl “Bud” and Margaret “Peg” Williams Douglas. 
     Bertha is survived by one son, Mark (Lorraine) Gibson; one daughter, Gay Gibson; three grandchildren, George Gibson, Lauren Nichols and Rebecca Nichols and one great granddaughter, Skylynn.
     Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Gibson in 2018 and one brother Robert Douglas.
     Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family at Wells Cemetery.
