Barbara B. Howard

THE PLAINS - Barbara B. Howard, 90, of The Plains, died Monday afternoon, December 24, 2018 at Hickory Creek Nursing Center.

Born February 8, 1928 in The Plains, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Mildred Marie Lovsey Tinkham.

She was a graduate of The Plains High School and a former employee of McBee’s Systems, AAA and Athens High School.

She is survived by two children, Sandi (Dave) Tope of Athens, Tim (Amy) Howard of Albany; three grandchildren, Jerimiah Robinette, Kyle and Abby Howard; two great grandchildren, Dominic Robinette, Ravenna Niggameyer; a brother, Russ (Shirley) Tinkham of The Plains; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1976, Clay Howard; an infant daughter in 1964, Tina Marie Howard; nine brothers and sisters, James, Raymond, Carl, Charles, Robert, Roger Tinkham, Elaine Davis, Beulah Radford, and Louise Lucas.

Friends may call at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home Saturday from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A graveside service will follow at West Union Street Cemetery at 1:00 PM with Rev. H. Willard Love officiating.
