Pomeroy - Barbara Eblin, 76, of Pomeroy, died Sunday, November 2, 2014 at her residence.
Born January 22, 1938 in Pomeroy, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Marie Washburn Linkenhoker. She was a LPN at the Athens Mental Hospital and worked at Rock Springs, Hickory Creek, Scenic Hills nursing homes. She attended the First Baptist Church in Middleport. She loved the outdoors, especially her flower gardens and swimming.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years Lawrence Eblin; two daughters Cathy "Darlene" (Roger)Weaver of Keystone Heights, Florida and Penny Eblin Cochran of Pomeroy: one granddaughter Tabitha (Jeff) Horner of Coolville; five grandsons Bryan Weaver, Kyle Weaver, Jerrod Clark, Joshua Clark, and Jacob Smart; six great grandchildren and a brother Ronald Washburn of Houston, TX.
Beside her parents she preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Eblin Phillips and a sister Linda Washburn.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Ewing Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Zuspan officiating. Burial will be in the Beechgrove Cemetery in Pomeroy. Friends may call the Ewing Funeral Home Wednesday, November, 5 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
