MARIETTA—Ashton Isaac Cole Harris, 16, of Marietta, OH, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH.
He was born Nov. 1, 2006, in Parkersburg, WV, son of Paul and Amy Brown Harris. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier in Parkersburg and attended Basilica of Saint Mary of the Assumption. Ashton was a standout athlete in baseball and basketball. He was very popular and never had an enemy.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by 3 brothers, Ian and Claudia Harris, Christian Harris and Trey Harris; 2 sisters, Emily Harris and Chloe Harris; 3 nephews, Ethan, Holden and Owen; maternal grandparents, Charles and Judith Brown; paternal grandfather, Alvin Pete Harris; several aunts, uncles and cousins; special girlfriend, Emma Middleton and a lot of friends in Coolville, Athens and Marietta.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ermal Harris and a cousin, Cameron Brown.
Services will be held at 10 A.M., Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, at Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, 506 4th St., Marietta, OH, with Fr. John Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
