Ashley Jo Hiller, nee Ford, a compassionate and dedicated soul, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, September 23, 2023 at her home. Ashley was a cherished daughter, a devoted mother, and a beloved sister. Her untimely departure has left an indescribable void in the hearts of her family and friends.
Born and raised in Athens, Ohio, she was the daughter of Drew Allen and Jill Leslie Pedigo Ford. Ashley was a prominent figure in the community. She was an alumnus of Alexander High School, graduating in the class of 2005. During her time there, Ashley showcased her vibrant spirit as a cheerleader, spreading joy and enthusiasm with her infectious smile.
Ashley had an unwavering love for her two sons, whom she cherished above all else. Their happiness and well-being were always at the forefront of her thoughts and actions. She was a devoted mother, providing them with endless love, guidance, and support.
Aligned with her compassionate nature, Ashley had a profound affection for animals. Whenever she encountered a stray or neglected animal, she would go above and beyond to provide them with care and shelter. She believed that every creature deserved kindness and compassion, extending her nurturing spirit beyond the human realm.
Music held a special place in Ashley's heart. She reveled in the magic of live performances and was a regular attendee of music festivals. The rhythmic melodies would dance through her soul, bringing joy to her life and igniting a passionate fire within.
Exploring the great outdoors was another passion that Ashley embraced. She found solace and tranquility while hiking amidst nature's breathtaking beauty. The majesty of the mountains and the serenity of the forests brought her peace & joy, allowing her to reconnect with the world around her.
As a Registered Nurse, Ashley dedicated countless hours to serving others in emergency rooms and pediatric hospitals. Her caring touch and unwavering devotion provided comfort and healing to those in need. Ashley's selfless nature led her to extend her helping hand to anyone who required assistance, leaving an indelible impact on the lives she touched.
The memory of Ashley Jo will forever linger in the hearts of her survivors. Besides her parents, she leaves behind her beloved sons, Oliver and Anders Hiller; sister, Cassie (Corey) Champlin; brother, Trey (Megan) Ford; maternal grandmother, Beverly Pedigo; paternal grandparents, Marilyn and D. Vincent Ford. Their pain at her loss is immeasurable, but they find solace in the cherished moments and memories they shared together.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Joe Pedigo and nephew, Luke Ford.
To honor Ashley's remarkable life, a funeral service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Christ Community Wesleyan Church in Albany with Pastor Steve Warner officiating. Following the service, Ashley will be laid to rest in Burson Cemetery, Shade, Ohio. Friends and family may call upon the family on Friday from 9AM until the time of service.
