Tuppers Plains – Anna Staats, 88, of Tuppers Plains, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 9, 2022, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg.
Born April 3, 1934, in Flora, Ohio, she is the daughter of the late Wilbur Harley and Carrie Edith Gilliand Whaley.
She was a member of the Amazing Grace Community Church in Tuppers Plains. She loved her family gatherings, cooking, and flowers.
She is survived by two sons, Wilbur (Debbie) Burke, Danny (Marlene) Crislip; five daughters, Sue (Earl) Kauff, Sally (Bob) Bissell, Kathy Riley, Kimberly (Rick) Kauff, Julia (Bob) Rozell; three step-sons, Randy, Barry, and Dean Staats; two brothers, Paul and Don Whaley; one sister, Mattie Teaford; 15 grandchildren, Nicholas, Charlie, Tammy, Bobby, John, Christy, Ashley, Kyle, Andrea, Andy, Hannah, Robert, Sarah, Josh and Brandie; and several great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, Kenny Burke, second husband, Dan Crislip, third husband, George Staats, two grandsons, Steven Kauff and Kenny Burke, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, Ohio with Pastor Wayne Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow at the Keebaugh Follrod Cemetery in Chester.
