Angela Zimmer


Angela Ilene Zimmer, 50, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri went home to be with the Lord
on May 21, 2012, with her family by her side. Angela was born on July 5, 1961 in
Nashville, TN.

Angela is the daughter of Richard and Janet Gorrell, of Paris, Tennessee. Rick is a
1962 graduate of CTHS in Coolville, Ohio She traveled and lived world-wide; first
with her dad who is a US Air Force retiree, then with her loving husband, Jody
Zimmer, whom she married on December 31, 1980, who is a US Navy retiree. Angela
thereby contributed greatly to the security of our great nation. In 1998, Angela was
awarded Submarine Lady of the Submarine Force.

Angela raised two wonderful children while her husband was deployed. Angela
contributed to many charitable causes, including Covenant Ranch, at which her father
volunteers. Her interests included family, gardening and cooking. She devoted much
of her time and energy as a caregiver to her family members. Those who were close to
her, understood the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which
one lives.

Besides her parents and husband, Angela is survived by her two children, Jessica
Sam Puhlman, and Richard Julie Zimmer, two grandchildren, Lillian and Elizabeth
Zimmer, one brother, Dale Debbie Gorrell of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, and
Mother-in-Law, Rose Marie Zimmer of Marietta.

Her funeral will be Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at White-Schwarzel Funeral
Home in Coolville OH, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Internment will be at Torch, OH
cemetery. Services will be conducted by Mrs. Janet Richards.
