Andrew "Andy" Newlon, 94, of Coolville died Sept. 10, 2007, at Arcadia nursing Center, Coolville
He was born Dec. 2, 1912, at Bartlett, Oh, a son of the late Morton and Georgia Gage Newlon.
Andy raised his family at Marietta, OH, retired from American Cynamid in 1975, moved to farm at Wellston, Oh for 17 years before moving to Coolville, OH
He is survived by son, Harry Jeannie Newlon of Greenville, TN, daughters Janet Don Jeffers of Coolville, Donna Roger Bennett of Mariette. Grandchildren Steve Patty Jeffers, Coolville, David Pam Jeffers, Marion, OH; Tammy Jeff Taylor, Hockingport, OH; Annie Bill Burke, Parkersburg, WV; Shane Jeffers, Coolville, Kelly Mel Klintworth, Belpre, OH , Kathy Gaskins, Whipple, OH; Jarrod Redeena Newlon, Charlotte, NC and Andy Lisa Newlon, Limestone, TN; 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brother, George "Bill" Jeannie Newlon, Columbus, OH, and sisters, Mary Hatcher, Kent, OH and Dorothy Black, MI and loving staff of Arcadia Nursing Center.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in Dec. 2001 and sister, Elizabeth mcGinnis.
Memorial services will be 1PM Thursday at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH; burial will follow at Bartlett Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 4PM to 8PM at Whites and from 11AM to time of the service Thursday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Appalachian Hospice, Athens.
