MURRAY CITY – Tod Dicken, 85, of Murray City, died early Thursday morning, January 12, 2017 at Grant Medical Center. Born June 19, 1931 in Glouster, he was the son of the late Tod and Edith Canter Dickens. Tod was a quiet man and a graduate of Chauncey Dover High School where he excelled in football, having once scored two touchdowns in 30 seconds, and also scored five touchdowns in one game. He also had been inducted into the Chauncey Dover Football Hall of Fame. He leaves behind his companion and friend, Charmaine Stalnaker, whom he made his home with; and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, Gard, Arthur, and Carl; and three sisters, Madelin, Jenny, and Ruth. Per his request, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
