Gregory Wilson Perry, Jr.

ATHENS – Gregory Wilson Perry, Jr., 31, of Athens, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Born September 23, 1985 in Tampa, Florida, he was the son of Sheri Rutter Perry (Nathan) Stalder and the late Gregory Wilson Perry, Sr. He was a 2004 graduate of Alexander High School. He also loved everybody he came in contact with and loved being outdoors. Besides his mother, he is survived by his son, Brody Wilson Perry; three brothers, Wesley McDonald, Ethan and Adam Perry; a step brother, Corbin Stalder; his maternal grandmother, Wanda Rutter; his paternal grandparents, Gene and Shirley Perry; his step grandmother, Juanita Rutter; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry “Buck” Rutter. Services will be Monday at 7:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
