ATHENS – Florence I. Michael, 93, of Athens, died Saturday morning, July 30, 2016 at Kimes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born May 14, 1923 in Raleigh, NC, she was the daughter of the late Steven G. and Florence Rogaskia Lehoe. She was retired from the Athens Mental Health Center. She is survived by four daughters, Sharon Bolin, Sunny (David) Hill, Monna Slone, Wainette Tinkham; 17 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Sandy Saulters, Sheila Bower, Melissa Knapp; two grandsons, Randy and Rich Bolin; a great grandson, Randy Bolin, Jr.; nine brothers, Steve, Louis, Carl, Edward, Robert, James, Fred, Paul, Elmer Lehoe; two sisters, Goldie Hudnell, and Mary Zimmerman. Services will be Monday at noon at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday one hour prior to the service.
