Robert Cone

ATHENS – Robert Cone, 89, of Athens, died Monday morning, June 13, 2016 at Newark Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Newark. Born September 4, 1926 in Ames Township, he was the son of the late Frank and Hazel Young Cone. He loved Volkswagon’s and was also a Volkswagon mechanic who was known as “Volkswagon Bob”-. He is survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Cone; and his two sons, Patrick and Michael Cone. Memorial graveside service will be announced at a later date.
