Steven E Kovach

NEW MARSHFIELD – Steven E. Kovach, 84, of New Marshfield, died Friday afternoon, April 22, 2016 at Fairfield Medical Center. Born January 18, 1932 in Glouster, he was the son of the late Vincent Joseph and Barbara Hubai Kovach. He was a 1950 Chauncey Dover Graduate and was a former employee of Mine 255. He retired from Abex Tire and Mold as a machinist with over 25 years of service. He was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church and his hobbies were radio controlled airplanes, football and playing guitars. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Harriett Sapp Kovach; four children, Harriett Marie (Jim) Terwilliger of Pegram, TN, Karen Carbaugh of New Marshfield, Jane Kovach of New Marshfield, Mark (Sylvia) Kovach of Winston Salem, NC; three grandchildren, James Edward Terwilliger, Patrick Aaron Terwilliger, David Carbaugh; several nieces and nephews including a very special nephew, Bill Bobanith and a lifetime friend, Bob Sanders. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Michael and Vincent Kovach, Helen Bobanith, Elizabeth Newsad, and Ann Kovach. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Christ The King Catholic Church with Father Mark Moore officiating. Burial will be in Burlingham Cemetery.
