Joyce A Sherman

NEW MARSHFIELD – Joyce A. “Tiny” Sherman, 80, of New Marshfield, died Thursday evening, April 7, 2016 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital. Born March 7, 1936 in New Marshfield, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edith Liggett Sherman. Joyce was a therapeutic program worker and retired from the Athens Mental Health Center. She also was employed at Goodyear, Ohio University, McKee’s Drug Store, Prop’s and Trim’s, and the Sportsman Restaurant. She enjoyed bluegrass music, her farm, her dogs, and her family. She was also a Red’s fan. She is survived by a sister, Lois Weiss, a sister-in-law, Bessie Sherman, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Wendall, Kendall, Charles, Jr., and Paul Sherman; and a sister, Doris Carpenter. Per her request, a graveside service will be Monday at 11:00 AM at New Marshfield Cemetery with Minister Buford Brown officiating.
