CHAUNCEY—Gary C. Calendine, 54 of Chauncey, passed away Sunday August 30, 2015. Born November 7, 1960 in Oberlin, he was the son of the late Curtis R. Calendine and Illa Mae Verity. He was also the stepson of the late Clarence Verity. He was an avid deer hunter and had a passion for collecting arrow heads. He also enjoyed wood crafting, wood working, and collecting antiques. He loved his beloved dog of 11 years, Buddie. He is survived by his wife of eight years, Sue; a daughter Teara Kay Calendine of Marietta; three grandchildren, Austin, Aaron, and Aamon; a stepdaughter, Tracy Adams; stepson, Nick Dahl; a step-grandson Colt Adams; a brother C.J. Verity of Chauncey; two sisters, Joan Simmons and JoAnna Edgell, both of Marietta; uncle Larry Calendine; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ralph and Imogene Calendine and maternal grandparents Clarence and Bertha Blackford. Services will be Friday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home. Burial will be at the West Union Street Cemetery.
