Mary Maguerite Tinkham

THE PLAINS – Mary Marguerite Tinkham, 86, of The Plains, died early Tuesday morning, August 11, 2015 at Hickory Creek Nursing Center. Born September 2, 1928 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Gertrude Gilmore Douglas. She was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School and retired from Doctor’s Hospital North in Columbus. She is survived by four children, Charles William (Ella) Tinkham of Calabash, NC, Cathy (Greg) Sorrell of Chauncey, Rick (Teresa) Tinkham of The Plains, Steve Tinkham of Sarasota, FL; ten grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a sister, Anita Bell of Sarasota, FL. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Tinkham, a brother, Carl Douglas; and a grandson, Michael Tinkham. No services will be observed.
