Richard Allen Koska

THE PLAINS – A celebration of life for Richard A. Koska, age 60, of The Plains, Ohio, will be Friday, May 8 at 6:00 p.m. at the American Legion, 520 W. Union Street, Athens. Friends and Family are invited between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. Mr. Koska died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon at his residence at 8800 Johnson Road, 121, The Plains. Born in Athens County, he was the son of the late Gerald and Joann Koska. Mr. Koska retired from Ohio University in Athens and was a graduate of Nelsonville-York High School. He is survived by his seven children, five daughters, Toni Koska, Linda Koska, Nicole Blake-Nelson, Theresa Chadwell, and Sarah Koska; two sons, Charles Blake and Stephen Koska; three brothers, Gerald Koska, James Koska, and Phillip Koska; and two sisters, Joann McGee and Christine Sheets; Eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
