ATHENS – Glen L. Hashman, 79, of Athens, died Sunday morning, February 15, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born August 3, 1935 in Chauncey, he was the son of the late Gerald and Addie Schoonover Hashman. He retired from Baker Center Recreation Room as manager after 40 years of service. He was an avid bowler spending most of his bowling time at Rollerbowl Lanes and he also enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He is survived by four children, Steve (Sheila) Hashman, Vicki (Tom) McKinley, Benita Halderman, Addie Lanning; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Frank; 18 grandchildren, Emily, David, Kevin, Nathan, Dakota, Lindsey, Aurelio, Brandy, Tristan, Alexis, Shadwich, Whitney, Trevor, Jenny, Rebecca, Ian, T.J., Danielle; seven great grandchildren, Ava, Cora, Fox, Luke, Trip, Collin, Willow; nine siblings, Tom Hashman, Jerry Hashman, Rick Hashman, Jeanette Jones, Nancy Daniels, Rita Browning, Wilma Neeley, Arlene Robinson, Ilene Lawson; and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks goes to Jim and Connie Ator. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Jean Hashman; a son, Tony Deal; a sister, Donnie Neeley; and a son-in-law, James Rodgers. Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Dave Umbel officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM.
