Sonny Burch

ATHENS – Sonny Burch, 77, of Athens, died Late Monday evening, October 20, 2014 at the Pickering House in Lancaster. Born July 20, 1937 in Canaanville, he was the son of the late Fred and Hildreth Margaret Hawk Burch. He was a graduate of Rome Canaan High School and was a member of the Canaanville United Methodist Church and the Athens Church of Christ. He was a former employee of McBee’s and Charley Moore Ford Dealership. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sally Jo Fulton Burch; two daughters, Maryjane Burch of The Plains, Melissa (Andy) Trout of Albany; and a sister, Mary Halbirt of Athens. Services will be Friday at 2:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev’s H. Willard Love and Bruce Stocker officiating. Burial will be in Canaanville Cemetery.
