Carol Darlene James

GUYSVILLE – Carol Darlene James, 72, of Guysville, died early Friday morning, August 15, 2015 at Arcadia Nursing Home in Coolville. Born May 22, 1942 in Athens County, she was the daughter of the late Darrel and Vinney Storer Williams. She was a graduate of Rome Canaan High School and was a member of the Lottridge Community and Senior Center and South Canaan Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Wendy “Mark” Shields of Guysville; three grandchildren, Anthony, Jessica and Jazman Shields all of Athens. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Byron James; and two brothers. Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Monte McCune officiating. Burial will be in South Canaan Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
