AMESVILLE - Martha Elaine Marquis, 82, of Amesville, quietly passed, on Monday, August 4, after a brief illness at the Pickering House, in Lancaster, Ohio. Martha Elaine was born February 3, 1932, she was preceded in death by her parents, William and Laura Saylor Richey, sister Wilma Gabriel and brother, Allen Richey and husband Lee Marquis. Martha Elaine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Cathy Goodin of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and by her close family friends, Carolyn, Curtis and Eric High, of Illinois, nephews, Walter and Terri Gabriel of Baltimore, Ohio and Randy and Betty Gabriel, of Hilliard, Ohio and niece, Melanie and Mike Boardner of Commack, New York. Public calling hours will be Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home from noon until 2:00 PM where a public service will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor William Hixson officiating. Graveside services will be privately held for family and dear friends later that day at West Union Street Cemetery. Memorials should be made to the Pickering House, of Lancaster, Ohio.
