Chauncey – Victoria Lindley Shonborn Brown, 55, of Santa Rosa, California formerly of La Habra Heights, California and married to deceased local Richard “Biff” Brown of Chauncey, died unexpectedly Thursday May 15, 2014. Born February 5, 1959 in Los Angeles, California, she was the daughter of Carol Shonborn and Al Stone both of Los Angeles, California. Ms. Shonborn attended Lowell High School in Whittier, California and had been a resident of Santa Rosa, California since 1989. Prior to living in Santa Rosa she lived in Napa, California. For over 25 years she worked in the California wine industry for both the Christian Brothers Winery and Sebastiani Vineyards. In 2011 she embarked on a new mission in life – improving the care and treatment of animals in government owned and operated animal shelters across the U.S. with a focus on Sonoma County, California. She founded the local chapter of No Kill in Sonoma County and tirelessly promoted the improvement in the treatment and care of all animals. Her efforts to help elder dogs stranded in shelter and rescues to find their forever homes was determined, continuous and exhaustive. Besides her mother, she is survived by her father Al Stone; brother Al Stone III.; husband, Mark A. Feinberg; daughter, Jessyka E. DeCelle of Windsor, Colorado; son-in-law, Michael DeCelle; and four granddaughters, Makenna DeCelle, Jossi DeCelle, Shay DeCelle, and Payton DeCelle.
