Oliver Ronnie Walls

ATHENS – Oliver Ronnie Walls, 73, of Athens, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born November 14, 1940 in Athens, he was the son of the late Oliver and Helen Dillinger Walls. A lifelong resident of Athens, he was a graduate of Athens High School and retired as a Captain with the Athens Fire Department with over 25 years of service. He was also a member of several Athens social clubs. He is survived by three children, Ronda (Karl) Paoletti of Valdosta, Georgia, Rick (Julie) Walls of Milford, Amy (Darren) Ellis of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Nicholas and Sofia Paoletti, Hailey and Tyler Walls; two sisters,  Eileen Bratton of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Karen  (Buck) Mechem of Hanford, California; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday from noon until 2:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Clark’s Chapel Cemetery.
