Evelyn Ruth Smith

ALBANY – Evelyn Ruth Gaston Smith, 97, of Albany, died Sunday evening, March 30, 2014 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital. Born July 20, 1916 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lucy Frost Gaston. She is survived by a son, James (Ruth) Smith of Toledo; two grandchildren, Keith Smith, Kristie Blaningin; and a brother, James Gaston. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Smith; two children, John Smith, Nellie Marie Clelland; five brothers, Richard, Byron, William, Charles, and Paul Gaston. A graveside service will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Bert Christian officiating.
