Thomas Eslocker passed away March 24th in Athens Ohio. He was born October 26th, 1951 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was an adoring father, dear friend, respected professional, and gave laughter to all that knew him well. He will be sadly missed by family, friends, and colleagues. He is survived by his companion Lori Baker; the mother of his children and former wife Martie Rector; their son Asa Rector Eslocker (Joanna Jennings) of Charlottesville Va; daughter Avery Euart (Casey Euart) of Charleston SC; his sisters Janet Willis and Karen Dickerson; two nieces and a nephew. His first grandchild Violet Jennings Eslocker was born February 21,2014. Tom was a graduate of Ohio University where he was president of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He graduated from Washington University School of Law in 1976. The same year he returned to Athens to practice law. He was the senior partner of Eslocker Oremus and Ryan and a member of the Athens County Bar Association for 37 years. He was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States in 1988. Tom dedicated much of his time and efforts to the people and community of Athens being involved with such endeavors as a founding member of the Dairy Barn and My Sister's Place. A celebration of his life will be held at the Ohio University Inn ballroom on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 5-8. Bring a picture or a memory to share. One of Tom's greatest joys was coaching and supporting many sports teams during the 80's and 90's.
