Dr. Yin-Min Wei

ATHENS - Dr. Yin-min Wei, 91, of Athens passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. He was born on October 1, 1922 in the Anhwei province of China, emigrated to the United States in 1952, and attended graduate school at Purdue University and The University of Iowa. He went on to work for Westinghouse, IBM, and then Ohio University. He retired from Ohio University in 1993 as a Professor Emeritus in Computer Science. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Sun Wei; his children, Lisa (John) Leighton, Frank Wei, and Nita Schwieterman; and his four grandchildren, Kelly, Joyce, Gail and Jody. Friends may call at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens, Ohio on Saturday, March 15 from 2:00-3:00 pm. Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery.
