ATHENS – Thelma C. Sabo, 77, of Athens, died early Saturday morning, March 1, 2014 at Kimes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born August 27, 1936 in Guysville, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Hazel Burleigh Rodehaver. She was a 1954 graduate of Rome-Canaan High School and she retired from Ohio University Food Service after 30 years of service. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Theodore “Ted” Sabo; three children, Cindy White of The Plains, Randy Sabo of Guysville, Cheryl (Don) Skinner of Athens; one grandson, Bradley Skinner; two brothers, Raymond (Kate) Rodehaver of Wellborn, Florida, and Ralph (Nita) Rodehaver of Guysville; and a special friend, Jackie Brown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Rodehaver; and a grandson, Kaelan Skinner. Services will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Foster officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday two hours prior to the service.
