ATHENS – Joyce A. Browning, 70, of Athens, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Arcadia Nursing Home. Born October 5, 1943 in Shade, she was the daughter of the late Floyd E. and Anna Sargent Williams. She was a graduate of Shade High School. She worked as a nurses aide for 15 years and worked at T S Trim for ten years. Joyce loved to dance, Country and Western music and quilting. She is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Dana) Church of Guysville, Michelle (Larry) Davis of Wellston; two grandchildren, Austin Ryan Davis and Mahayley Shianna Davis whom she loved with all her heart; a sister, Roma Crislip of The Plains; and a brother, Roger L. Williams of Franklin, Kentucky. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean E. Browning; two brothers, Earl E. Williams, Fletcher M. Williams; and a sister, Eva Lewis. Services will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. George Horner officiating. Burial will be in Burson Cemetery. Friends May call at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 PM. and two hours prior to the service on Saturday.
