Virginia Griffin

ATHENS – Virginia Griffin, 89, of Athens, died Wednesday, January 1, 2013 at her home. Born September 30, 1924 in Athens County, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Edna Mae Davis Walls. She was retired from Ohio University. She is survived by a sister, June (Richard) Coe of Athens; a brother, Roger Walls of Athens; a sister-in-law, Dessie Walls of Rushville; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gail Griffin; a son, Danny L. Lasure; four brothers, Vernon, Virgil, Melvin, and Millard Walls. Graveside services will be Monday at 11:00 AM at Clark’s Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Denver Dodrill officiating.
