Margaret M. Ames

ATHENS – Margaret M. Ames, 98, of Athens, died Monday morning, October 21, 2013 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital. Born July 15, 1915 in Cutler, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Betsy Kennedy Lucas. She is survived by a son, Richard Ames of Athens; a special nephew, Bill Lucas of Guysville; two grandchildren, Shane and Marvelene Ames both of Athens; two great grandchildren, Zach and Olivia Baldwin both of Mechanicsburg; two daughters in-law, Mona and Helen Ames both of Athens; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Lois Wright. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Ames; her sons, Leonard, Ralph, Roger and four infant sons; four brothers, Harold, Leo, Harry and Charlie Lucas; three sisters, Gladys, Mary, and Delpha Dalton; two grandchildren, Tony Ames and Sharon Baldwin. Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Skellett officiating. Burial will be in Rockland Cemetery.
