Dorothy Cone

ATHENS – Dorothy Cone, 87, of Athens died Thursday, September 26, 2013 at The Laurels of Athens. Born October 31, 1925 in Trimble, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Nancy Lenigar Sharp. She was a graduate of Jackson Trimble High School and a cook at Ohio University and Federal Hocking Schools. She also transported medical patients to area facilities. She was a lifelong member of the Trimble Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin, Maria, Sheldon; several great grandchildren; and one sister, Barbara. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three sons, Michael, Patrick and an infant son; a granddaughter, Amanda Cone; and two siblings, Mary Ann Kasler and Joseph Sharp. Services will be Sunday at 3:00 pm at Hughes-Moquin Funeral home with Rod Ross officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from noon until the time of service.
