Anita K. Russell

THE PLAINS – Anita “Kay” Russell, 72, of The Plains, passed away early Thursday morning, September 12, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital in Parkersburg, WV. Kay was born May 15, 1941 in Athens and she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Hazel Radcliff Cochran. Kay’s greatest love and joy in life was spending time with her daughter Cindy who passed away two years ago. She is survived by her sister, Nancy (Kenneth) Garrett of Guysville; a brother-in-law, Richard Swart of Jacksonville; a niece, Kellie (Rollie) Merriman of Albany; three nephews, Brian (Connie) Garrett of Guysville, Rick (Lori) Swart of Chillicothe, and Bret (Kelli) Swart of Athens; and several great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bret Russell; her daughter, Cynthia Kay Russell Diedalis; and a sister Patricia Swart. Services will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Holler officiating. Burial will be in Canaanville Cemetery.
