ATHENS – Frieda Barnhill Morris, 103, of Athens, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Lindley Inn. Born April 8, 1910 on Dutch Ridge, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Barnhill and Mary Ann Klingenberg. She was a 1928 Graduate of Shade High School and was a homemaker. She spent most of her married life in Cleveland. She is survived by three nieces, Carolyn Gorsuch of Cleveland, Dorothy (Jim) Stout of Tuppers Plains, Ruth Ann (Larry) Milhoune of Rio Grande; two nephews, Mark (Barbie) Barnhill of South Bass Island, and Harold (Clarice) Swisher of Athens. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Morris; a son, Royce Morris; three sisters, Lelia Brandeberry, Clara Johnson, Nellie Swisher; three brothers, Clarence, Winifred, Carl Barnhill; three nephews, Carl and Roy Johnson, and Glenn Swisher. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Alexander Cemetery with Rev. Denver Dodrill officiating. There will be no calling hours observed.
