Betty J. Buck

THE PLAINS – Betty J. Buck, 83, of The Plains, died Friday, August 2, 2013 in Walnut Creek, California. Born August 7, 1929 in Athens County, she was the daughter of then late Floyd and Annabelle Heightland Bolin. She was a lifelong child care provider and a member of The Plains United Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Sheila (Cecil) Gillette of New Marshfield, Sandy (Ralph) Six of Athens, Sue (Mike Martin) Lowey of Martinez, California; four grandchildren, Alicia (Larry) Cain, Camie (Cody) Rutter, Benjiman Lowey and his fiancé, C.J. Kirkman, Shannon (Ricky) Grever; six great grandchildren, Jonathan Cain, Britnee Cain, Kimberly Rutter, Karli Rutter, Audrey Grever, Taelym Lowey; three siblings, Pauline Coggins of Oklahoma, Phyllis Chesser of Chauncey, and John Kachman of Chauncey. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Chester L. “Buzzy” Buck, Jr. Graveside services will be Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Joel Harbarger officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Plains United Methodist Church, P.O.
