Sylvia G. Tracy, 92 of Athens, OH and formerly of Bellevista, AR and Fairview, MO passed away Sunday morning February 24 at The Athens Laurels Nursing and Rehabilitation center. She had resided with her daughter Mary (Tracy) and son-in-law Larry Jageman since 2011. Sylvia will be sadly missed because she is known by her family as our advisor, caring, concerned, challenger, communicator, listener, confidant, collector, crafter, jewelry creator, coffee and hot chocolate brewer, culinary cook, social-able hostess, hugger, jokester, decorator, organizer, delighted driver, daring card player, planner, provider, and our family matriarch who drew us together and held us together. Sylvia was born on July 30, 1920 in Neosho, MO. She was united in marriage to the late Woodrow Wilson Tracy (1920 - 1993) on August 5, 1936 and they resided together in Fairview, MO. Sylvia was employed at Kraft Foods of Neosho for 30 years (1949-1979). She is preceded in death by her parents William Calvin Enlow & Etta May Enlow, her brothers Glen Enlow, James Enlow, her sisters Esther Oxford, Peggy Smith, Goldie Bonner, Ila Jean Knox, and her two daughters Barbara Harp, and Doris Knight-Turner. Sylvia is survived by her daughter Mary Jean & husband Larry Jageman, her son Woodrow Tracy, Jr. and wife Alfretta "Pete", 11 grand children: Clifford Harp, Tracy Harp & wife Susie, Brad Jageman & wife Rebecca, Broc Jageman, Lisa (Tracy) & husband Steve Reeder, Kim (Tracy) & husband Brian Jacobus, Jamie (Tracy) & husband Doug Pendergraft, Jeannie (Tracy) & husband Ryan Breese, Jackie (Knight) & husband Jon Wren, Charley Knight & friend Julie, Jim Knight & wife Krissy, and 20 great grand children, 12 great-great grand children, 34 nieces, and 23 nephews. A Sylvia Tracy memorial celebration will be held on Sunday July 28, 12 noon to 5 p.m. at the Fairview Mo. Community Center. Fairview is 18 miles east of Neosho on Mo. Hwy. 86. We will be sharing our favorite memories of Sylvia; plus, we will enjoy lunch, songs, games, and conversation together. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given in memory of Sylvia, Woodrow Sr., Barbara, &/or Doris Tracy, and made out to Larry Jageman for the Tracy Scholarship Fund.
