John W. Donaldson

ALBANY – John W. Donaldson, 88, of Albany, formerly of Nelsonville, died Friday, June 28, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born November 13, 1924 in Athens County, he was the son of the late Lewis and Lucille Rupe Donaldson. He was retired from Ohio University after 31 years of service and was a member of the Pentecostal Faith Church in Nelsonville. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hewlett Donaldson; a step daughter, Teresa (Ron) Caudell of Newark; a stepson, Jeff (Kim) Sparks of Albany; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bernice. Services will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. King Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4 to 8 PM.
