Mary Midkiff

ATHENS – Mary C. Midkiff, 88, of Athens, died early Sunday Morning, April 14, 2013 at Kimes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born February 15, 1925 in Lodi Township, she was the daughter of the late Earnest and Emma Klingenberg Howard. She was a 1943 graduate of Shade High School and was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ernest; three children, Connie (Al) Cantu of Austin, Texas, Kenneth (Randi) Midkiff of Guysville, Randy (Evelyn) Midkiff of Miamisburg; six grandchildren, Lili Cantu-Maass, Tanya Cantu, Wade Midkiff, Svea Maxwell, Tammi Midkiff, Gary Midkiff; and eight great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by all her brothers and sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Mnsr. Patrick Gaughan officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM where a Vigil for the Deceased will be at 7:45 PM.
