ATHENS – Theresa Ann Scott Hicks, 58, of Athens died Monday, March 25, 2013 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital. Born May 30, 1954 in Nelsonville, she was the daughter of John Edward Scott Sr. and Arlina Marie Scott Foreman. She was a graduate of Alexander High School and Columbus Business College, and retired from Ohio University with 32 years of service. She is survived by her children, Michael Hicks (Tabatha Combs) and Christina Hicks Taylor, both of Athens; her ex-husband, Mike Hicks of Albany; two grandchildren, Charles and Levi Smith of Albany; her sister, Catherine Scott of Albany; three step-sisters, Darlene (Dan) Grubb of The Plains, Pamela (Bruce) Llewellyn of New Marshfield, and Judith Waite of Hixson, TN; three nieces, Mary –Lou (Mathew) Stump, Ann (Keith) Reasoner, and Samantha Llewellyn; four great nieces, Shelby Perry, Taylor Perry, Kelsey Scott and Tiffany Reasoner; a great-nephew, Mathew Llewellyn , as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Jr. and Steven Monroe; two step brothers, Leroy Franklin and Robert Glenn; her step father, Wallace Foreman, a special cousin, John Bradley, as well as many aunts, uncles and grandparents. Services will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Adelbert Winegardner officiating. Burial will be at New Marshfield Cemetery.
