Florence Elanor Cummings

ATHENS– Florence Elanor Six Cummings, 93, of Lancaster formerly of Athens, passed away Sunday evening, February 17, 2013 at Fairfield Medical Center. Born July 23, 1919 in Athens County, she was the daughter of the late William and Marjorie McNeal Six. She was a graduate of both The Plains High School and Ohio University, and was a retired elementary school teacher. She is survived by two sons, Robert Cummings of New Lexington, and Donald (Patty) Cummings of Blairsville, GA; two daughters, Joyce (Ron) McKnight of Lancaster and Janice (Mark) Maddux of Lancaster; many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her sister, Bette Six Godenschwager of Newark. She will be greatly missed by all. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dana Six. Services will be Friday at 1:00 pm at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Gary Alton officiating. Burial will be at New Marshfield Cemetery.
