Anne Marie Essex

THE PLAINS – Anne Marie Essex, 56, of The Plains, died, Sunday morning, February 3, 2013, at her home. Born December 27, 1956 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Darius Edgar and Judith Canale Michael. She was a 1975 graduate of Athens High School and was a former employee of the Athens State Mental Health Center. She is currently on medical leave from Ohio University. She is survived by her husband, David W. Essex; a son and fiancé, Sean Michael McBride and Vanna Mash of The Plains; a daughter and son-in-law, Rose Anne and E4 Specialist Samuel Dowdy stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky; a grandson, Lucas Edgar Dowdy; four siblings, Darry (Linda) Michael of The Plains, Howard (Deng) Michael of The Plains, Lisabeth (Dave Withem) Michael of Athens, Jonathon (Sandy) Michael of The Plains; and many nieces and nephews.
